Higher Education and Oriental Studies

HEOS highlights the Asian concerns and awareness of Higher Education-related issues from an Eastern Oriental perspective. It provides a venue for the publication of research and development in Oriental Studies drawing on disciplinary, inter-disciplinary or multi-disciplinary knowledge at Institutions of Higher Learning. Aspects of university and higher education that have implications on pedagogy, learning and educational management are of particular interest. It also highlights the views on Educational Entrepreneurship and the relevance of Higher education to the Industry from among and within countries in Asia.

HEOS IS ADOPTING A MORE IMMEDIATE PUBLICATION MODEL

HEOS will adopt a more immediate publication model beginning with the May issue in order to accelerate the dissemination of scientific research. It adopts a model of publication in which articles are published continuously or in real-time but are still grouped into distinct issues or volumes based on the most recent issue. After a paper has undergone the necessary review and editorial processes, it is published online immediately, without waiting for the next scheduled issue or volume. This expedites the dissemination of research findings, granting the scientific community timely access to new information.

Starting in 2023, HEOS publications are quarterly in the months of February, May, August and November.

HEOS Scholarship Announcement

We're pleased to announce that in the coming issues, HEOS will be awarding 2 scholarships per issue (fee waiver) starting from the July issue to local (Malaysian) students and their co authors. The paper must have already been professionally edited before submission. (Show evidence e.g. track changes). This is our way of supporting budding writers.

CALL FOR ACADEMIC RESEARCH AND REVIEW PAPERS

Higher Education and Oriental Studies (HEOS) is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed Journal. It is open access. HEOS welcomes the submission of academic research articles in higher education fields for the July Issue 2021. This particular issue emphasises review papers or well- discussed concept papers, though original research papers are also welcomed.
